about me

I started on my artistic journey later in life and often struggle with my work to find the “right” way to express my ideas. I like to work across a variety of mediums, including paint, print and mixed media usually choosing whatever feels “right” for a particular piece of work. The colours and shapes found in nature always inspire me, but I am continually torn between the figurative and abstract. Because of this my work often features elements of each.

I have a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art and an MA in Museum Studies. In addition to my work as a visual artist, I have previously worked as a freelance consultant in arts development, as a museum cataloguer and an oral historian.
