When I first set out on my artistic journey I spent a couple of years learning traditional printmaking techniques. Of these, lino and woodcut have been constantly present in my work with a more recent addition of screenprinting.
The preciseness of planning and cutting a block challenges me mentally, particularly with reduction lino/woodcuts. Screen prints call for a different kind of attention to detail while allowing flexibility for a variety of approaches such as photographic stencils, hand drawn or paper stencils or mono printed screens.
